For the research project “Action Plan 2016-2022 for research and education in the field of mountain agriculture and food science” (approved by the resolution of the Provincial Government No. 1016 of 01/09/2015), the Research Area “Food Technology” is looking for a highly motivated
Researcher/ Scientist (m/f)
for the implementation of a program aimed at establishing a laboratory for processing technology and analysis with a focus on meat products.
Your tasks will include the set-up of a food processing lab for speck and meat products. After the initial set-up phase, we expect you to independently carry out research projects, to obtain research funding and to lead the research group for meat processing/meat science. The ideal candidate for this position can be promoted to group leader.
? MSc in Food Science and Technology or similar (completed university studies of at least four years attested by a diploma)
? bilingualism certificate C1 for german and italian (or former level A of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano)
Desired additional competences:
? Research experience in processing of meat and meat products
? Experience in meat product processing
? Experience in food product development
? Experience in food quality management
? Experience in project acquisition
? Good knowledge of spoken and written English (can be evaluated during the interview)
? Good organizational and communication skills
? Candidates should be highly motivated, able to work independently and possess good team-working skills
Contract duration: until December 2022, 31st - full time
